Sheila's philosophy that "good design enhances the human condition" can be seen in every space she creates, seamlessly merging thoughtful "designs that make a difference" with sophisticated ambiance. The result is distinctive interiors with refreshing natural flow, whether corporate or residential.
Sheila is part of an elite group of interior designers who have become Certified Interior Designers by the State of New Jersey. Her diversified professional experience, extensive body of work, and educational background also contributed to qualify her for this esteemed title. She is a graduate of Hunter College of the City University of New York and has successfully completed design courses at the prestigious Parsons School of Design, American Institute of Kitchen and Bath Dealers, Brookdale College, and The New School. Her credits include affiliations with the International Interior Design Association and the American Society of Interior Designers. Sheila held a position on the board of directors of the NJ Chapter of ASID.
Sheila has earned the CAPS (Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist) designation with an understanding of Universal Design. In addition, her knowledge of Sustainable Design helps her environmentally-aware commercial and residential clients make healthy, eco-friendly selections for their homes and businesses.

Sheila Rich is honored to be the recipient of six Design Excellence awards from the American Society of Interior Designers. She is also proud to have received the coveted Rene Baron Hennessy Award for Excellence and the Chrysalis Award, as well as the Best of Houzz Awards for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Sheila was a Success Advisory Panel Member and contributor to The New Made Revolution magazine. She was also a memeber of the New Jersey Monthly Magazine Design Advisory Council. Her long-running monthly newspaper column, “Rich Ideas”, serves to educate homeowners on the many and varied aspects of interior design as well as how to use all levels of design principles to achieve the home of their dreams.
Sheila’s interiors are featured in three books; Condo Makeovers, Showhouses 1 A Decorators' Tour, and Showhouses 2, A Decorators’ Tour. Her work has also been published online and in many national, regional, and local magazines and newspapers. As a featured guest speaker, Sheila’s popular presentations range from Design Challenges and Solutions, Universal Design and Senior Living.
